Installing a/m radio?

I am changing my factory headunit with a Pioneer and having a problem getting the radio to fit, appears too long. It appears the back of the radio is making contact with the inside of back of dash, where the stock radio would mount the back of the radio. Has anyone had this problem? solutions?

i know i had to get the mount kit that brings it out about .75inch which helped alot.. but mine just barely fits in there.

Just bend or cut off the little brace at the back, you don't need it.

bust that brace in the back and it will fit fine, done it tons of times

^^^What they said. Cut the bracket out of just break it. Just be careful of the wiring in there!

i cut it and all is good. man what a pleasant difference the sound has now. my wife even loved the new look and sound.
