No sound from speakers

No sound from speakers I re-installed an Alpine cd player that came with the car. The reason I did this was b/c the original owner messed up the stereo pretty badly. Just the rear speakers were hooked up to an amp with speaker wire going straight from the amp to the rear speakers. I removed the crappy amp and bought an new harness to hook the cd player up to all four speakers and now I get no sound. The cd player turns on but no sounds come from the speakers. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? Maybe I wired it wrong but I'm pretty sure I did it right. I connected all the colors together. PLEASE HELP!!
Make sure you connected the wires correctly. The wiring harness should had come with instructions. And you should follow the wire from the speakers and make sure they are the ones connecting to the radio. Or if you are using the stock wires make sure you are using the stock wires.
To make sure you radio is ok, get the speaker wires from the car radio and get extra wire and connect them to a speaker you should get sound and then you'll know your radio is ok and you may have used the wrong wire. Also check your fuses. Also check the setting on the car radio it may be set to the rear only.

If it's a Monsoon system he may have ditched the Monsoon amp in favor of the crappy one you disconnected. This would explain why you get no sound. If you are hooked to the factory harness and he removed the Monsoon amp you won't get any sound or limited sound.

Since it's a convertible, it only has four speaker locations. It could still be a Monsoon system which would be considered eight speakers because each location has a woofer and tweeter. You can check if it's Monsoon by looking for option code U59 on your door sticker.
