Alpine 7864 headunit question

Alpine 7864 headunit question I have an alpine 7864 faceplate but no CD player to go with it. Does anyone know if I buy an Alpine 7863 or 7865 unit my faceplate will snap on and work correctly?

no it will not work correctly. Chances are it will light up, and the display will start going crazy.
Ive accidentally put an alpine 9813 on a 9815 radio. Dont do it. if you cant find the proper cd player mechanism on ebay, ur better off buying a new radio.

Thanks, that's just what i wanted to know. I will just keep looking until i find the right one for my faceplate.
