I saw one melt down into a pile once... haha.. but it was warrantied. worked great for the past 4 years.

thats really strange i wonder what happened. overcharging/overheating?

I put a red top in my old '99 Z28 and it still going strong to this day and it's a solid 4+ years old. I plan on putting one in my Formula asap.

On a side note, they seem to have gotten stupid expensive since I last bought one. Whats every one paying for one these days?
