Hey All,

I usually have no problems with mine but I have seen some places that I parked and it just didn't work. Maybe interference from wireless something. Keep in mind that wireless gadgets are in our lives more and more. THINK ABOUT IT !!!

Actually, that's where is was up until 97. Later models have it mounted under the dash on the passenger's side behind the glovebox.

If you guys want to increase the distnace you are going to have to go with a new alarm system like Viper for example, those things work from very far away

I'm going to bump this old thread up.. If theres a bunch of junk in your car blocking the receiver, its obviously going to impact range.. The solution would be to add an antenna to the receiver or transmitter.. How to do that.. is another question

Transmitter would be easy, its clear to see whats what on the PCB... It would just not be durable enough to hack up our FOBs..

Another option I am going to try is to have a piece of Alu on my key chain that I can hold up to the remote; an attempt to bypass the silly chin/temple manuever.
