what bulb size for headlights?

Default what bulb size for headlights?

Yes I tried searching, all lead to dead links to some sylvania site. I just need to know the bulb size for my 2000 z28.

9006 low beams
9005 high beams
894 fog lights

i guess what im getting at is theres a guy a friend of mine knows that has HID kit for 75 bucks and he says it uses H7's. I just need to know if those would work or not

If it's HID then it doesn't use H7s - those are standard halogen bulbs.

those HID kits are illegal, also. Stick to something like Silverstar Ultras.

Sylvania's website has a bulb finder that will tell you every bulb that is in your car. I use it all the time.

I've had my HIDs on for over a year a and have never had a problem with law officials. Plus, I have my beams pointed down a little bit...I've also never had oncoming cars flash me with their headlights.

Wolf, also look at your headlights. They should have the type of bulb (eg. H6) molded onto the headlamps.


If you look at the 3rd light to the right, at about the 11 o' clock position, you can see part of the "H" for the bulb type. Both low beams and high beams have this.

Well, it's still illegal, but I have no problem if it's done responsibly (IE so it doesn't blind me, because almost all "HID Kit" installs do blind me)
