Default Sub cutting out at higher volumes?

My RE SE 10" keeps cutting out whenever i turn my music up so it really thumps. I'm not even getting close to topping out the sub or anything. Could this be because I need a higher power alternator? The amp is a RF 500.2 and I bridged it. I have 4ga RF wiring. And this cd player is a pioneer which never had any problems in my old car. So will upgrading to a 130A alt. fix it? Because I was going to upgrade it anways.

this is actually what i believe the problem may be. I checked the specs for the amp and it says 1 channel at 4 ohms = 100watts rms, 1 channel at 2 ohms = 200watts rms, bridged at 4 ohms = 500watts rms. i'm running it bridged at 2 ohms so i figure thats why its cutting out because its not stable. im going to try wiring it to 4 ohms when i get home today

Ok I'll wire it to 8 Ohms. I'll just have to get another SE 10" to fill the passenger side then i can run it at 4 ohms

Air temperature has absolutely nothing to do with it. If you stick a computer outside in cold air, it'll still overheat.

Make sure it's not so much it's making your cd skip, some of the best headunits will skip under a lot of bass (true, tested).

your probrably pulling more power than your alt can make. Try upgrading the big 3 and possibly an optima under the hood.
