I really like my diehard gold. I had been using the silvers, but got the gold last time. It had to be replaced once after 3 years, but that was free. I have been running the current battery(new one) for at least a couple years. So not bad for a 100 dollars. The warranty is unbeatable. There is going to be a lot of members that like optima batteries more, but they are more expensive(like double) and their warranty sucks. I think diehard offers some deep cycle batteries now too though.

I always like the optima read top or yellow . the red has more cranking amps but the yellow is for more electronics in the car like stereos and stuff .

I have a Kinetic. This a gel battery mainly for cars with systems but love it! Expensive though... got it on E-Gay.

I had a very hearty Optima Red Top that I killed 3 times, and still tested good and did its job as it should. I replaced it recently with a DieHard Platinum 34/78...it has some really good specs, but is a heavy *** SOB. We'll see how that and my new 200 amp alt. hold up...

I have had Red Tops in my last two cars and never had an issue. Bought mine from Costco for a good price. My friend works there and could exchange it for a new one if anything was wrong. Only did that once cause I killed the battery.

Just go Red Top Optima. Mine was in my Prelude for a year almost, then I put it in the Camaro in December of last year and have had no problems with it.

I've had an Exide Orbital blue top for well over 3 years and i've put it through hell and back and it still works as good as the day I bought it. Its rated at 770CCA but my ammeter and the testers at work all give 1100+ CCA readings. They're extremely underrated.

Duralast Gold batteries have worked for me for the past 8 - 10 years with zero issues from any of them. The longest i had any one car with one of those batteries in it was like 4 - 5 years....i sold that car like 2years ago, and if i'm not mistaken, he's still got that battery in it, and it's going strong (i sold it to my cousin).

just stay FAR, FAR away from the "EverStart" brand at Wally World. they should be called "EverFail" instead. i went through 3 of those pieces of **** in 6 months' time, and will never buy another one.

I had excellent luck with my Bosche battery. Beat it up and it has been in 2 vehicles so far...still going strong. My current T/A had it in there and swapped it for a red top Optima. The Bosche is now in my daily beater and still going.

I have had good luck with optima. One guy I work with has had the same red top optima for 4 years in 3 vehicles and it still works great.

I just put a new Delco in my car, the same as from the factory, but after reading here I see that they sometimes have leakage problems, and I have even seen a few guys that had them blow up under their hood and ruin all the paint under there.

So I would stay away from them on that reason alone.

WalMart - 35 Bucks

My last one lasted me over 4 years, here in the AZ heat.

But, I know it does not have the RedTop coolness.
