door wire help... extra wires ftl trying to figure out what the hell is going on in my door.
i would normally think these were old tweet wires, but this car does not have the upgraded audio package.
these to wires ( Grey , Brown ) are just free, and cut off from somthing, thats not attached to the main switch panel.
and its no the speaker, thats far far away.

Been a while since I had my doors apart, but if it's not going to the switch panel or speaker, it's going to the window motor, or the little bulb that lights up the inside doorhandle (my guess).
Which door? (The wiring/colors are different in each door.) By the jumble going in to the control panel, it looks like your driver's side door.
On the driver's side, there is an 18 ga. pair of a tan and grey wire for the tweeter. There is also a tan and grey 18 ga. wire for the door lock actuator. Assume your door locks work and these wires aren't it?
Even though your car doesn't have the tweeter package, you will still have the wires. Its less expensive to put a full wiring harness in every car than to have custom harnesses for different option mixes.

It looks like someone took a bunch of tape off of the bundle. Mine came from the factory with all of the wires taped up to the console. It looks to me like someone previously took the tape off from the console all the way down to where the speaker wires pop out.
