Default Can I wire a new amp to an existing one?

If the car has an amp in it already for the head unit & stock speakers, can I connect the power from the new amp (for a sub) to the existing amp's power cable? If so how should I go about doing this.. I don't wanna use too many rings clamped under the battery terminal. Unless there's another way you guys suggest.

i haven't cleaned up my 2nd amp installed and i done what you are thinking of doing. All i did was tap into the amp wire. But the rcas are connected to the radio rcas every else was basicly got from the 1st amp wires.

Make sure to add a fuse where you tap into the power cable.
