Default any reviews on the python 990 alarm system?

I might have a really good deal on this Python 990 2-Way Security System.. i was wondering if anyone else has this or know how how good it really is before i ****** it up.. it has starter kill and you can start the car from outside (which i love) heres a link to some specs:

Does that mean that the fob can open the doors at up to a mile away or just that it can receive a message from the car at up to a mile away (I'm guessing that's the 2-way part)? My guess is the latter and not the former. BTW, if it is the former.... why would you want to? I'd be afraid that I might unlock the car or start it accidentally from a distance away and not realize it because I'm too far to see it. Hopefully the "2-way" feature says something about it.

I have one on both my cars, my girlfriend's jaguar, and my little brother infiniti. I love them. The range is great, the options are endless, and as an installer i love installing them.

Those are great alarms, just like the Viper 791xv or a Clifford Matrix. You can get them online for under 200 Bucks.

I work at Circuit City and the cost of labor is included in the price. I don't know the exact price of labor though, maybe someone who works at CC and has sold one recently can chime in

i manage the car installations at cc{for the last 5 yrs}, i usually charge 160 for a rem start alarm, then 40 to wire up relays for the door locks, and 50 for the chip bypass; so 250.

Free, just do it yourself. You need a DMM, soldering iron, wire strippers, a few screwdrivers, some shrink tubes and some zip ties.

It is time consuming but think of the money you save.

Get some beers on a weekend and just do it.

I had this alarm in my old car, it is exactly the same as the 791xv and has the SST that gives the 2 way communication a boost up to a mile away. It saved my honda when I was at work and came out to the parking lot to find my door open. Be sure to get a backup battery and I would do a second piezo siren inside. The price of the alarm at circuit is about 280 on the alarm alone. I bought the clifford equivalent for my girls car online for $210 shipped on amazon.
