Default Tired of waiting for Bazooka Sails

Ok guys, I don't think I can listen to my blown, rattling sails for another second. I have been waiting for KEE to get us some bazooka sails and appreciated all his help, but just can't wait any longer.

What is the next best alternative to fill the sails?

Well, the Bazookas have never been "good." They are a low-level budget speaker along the lines of Pyramid, Pyle, etc.

Go for a Peerless SLS. They will sound much better and they've got an impressive 8mm of Xmax. They are also quite affordable. Kee really should start carrying them.

Does peerless make a DVC for the TA, though? I found an SVC 4ohm, but haven't come across a DVC.

Coppertone, if you need something right away, I'll sell you my factory ones I just took out. They aren't blown or anything, I was just one of the lucky ones to get a set from Kee.

Nope, no DVC. I'd still go with them over Bazookas.

How will the Peerless SLS being a SVC affect the system?

You'll only able to hook up one of the two amp channels on each side. So, you'll be getting less power to the speakers.

No offense but it is kind of irking when someone doesn't own or have used something writing it off. Haven't heard any owners/users complain about the Bazookas me included. Does Bazooka even make their speakers? Kee was working on another DVC replacement I put up the link to the other day. Go with it or wait for the Bazookas. Or try your own thing and report back.

No offense to who?

What is the other DVC option? I can't seem to find the link.

I've got no complaints about the Bazookas. They seem to be a decent little speaker.

I haven't owned that specific Bazooka speaker, you're right. I have heard others, and I have never seen anything good said about them by people that I trust (even moreso than myself, which would be people who win SQ competitions, etc.) other than price. But if I see you putting down Pyramid, Pyle, Legacy, Boss or any other entry-level brand, I will be sure to ask you if you've used that specific model before.

Hey, if you like the Bazookas, good for you. I won't tell you to dump them, but there is absolutely no chance that they compete with Peerless.

Dragon. Don't think he owns the Peerless or Bazookas
