When I did my system about a year ago I could not find a-pillar pods to fit my oversized tweeters so I took a friends advice and put the tweeters inside the vents with L brackets and I could not be happier. It sounds great and looks Stock.
you dont need pods.. I mounted my tweest directly in the a pillar, looks factory and the sound is where it needs to be now instead of having the tweets blaring straight into your face

Fiberglass and hobby shop plywood. Use the plywood to make the "face" (front where the tweeter mounts), epoxy it onto the triangle panel (use a factory panel as your base), then use fiberglass to "wrap". Takes more time to design than build.

Sure they are $75 a pair. The flush mount cup that the tweeters come with should have an overall diameter of 2" or less or these pods won't work. Most tweeters have seemed to work though.

fiberglass light weight but very sturdy
