also read if you spin, it can throw numbers off... although i thought it was supposed to account for wheel spin.
as for horsepower, some say its within a couple hp of dyno numbers, others say it is way off due to many reasons (including wind drag).
i just ordered one to mess around with and mainly to use as a g meter to coach myself for cornering.
and that the various drag factors, moments of inertia
etc. are estimated reasonably. But the thing will use
the same factors for a brick of a pickup truck on 20s,
as it will for a Camaro on slicks & skinnies so "close"
is about all you'd expect for HP numbers.
As a G-meter, they're fine. I took my old original red-LED
GTech and pigtailed out the accelerometer voltage so I
can log that through my HPTuners cable. The acceleration
numbers are a good thing to tune against, better than
just a rolled-up ET or MPH because you can see it across
the entire band and tweak it up cell by cell.
