Default drivers door speakers-help?

The 2 speakers on my TA's drivers side door are only operating at a low volume. I don't hear any cracking so I don't think the speakers are blown. How would I track down the issue?

If they are stock they are probably not quite blown yet but they are on there way out. However, crackling in my car when I had the stock monsoon in it was because the tweeter had a bad factory crossover on the passenger side and was making the stock tweeter crackle. I simply put an inline capacitor in place to block any unwanted frequencies from going to the tweeter and bypassed the stock crossover. No more crackling.
To check for this you will need to pull the door panel.

I had a window motor replaced recently. How do you remove the door panel?
