Default What did I just F*&^ up???

So I'm wiring all of my speakers to an amp, and in the middle of the install I have to run a buddy over to his ex gf's house... anyway, the amp wasn't mounted, and it fell, pulling the ground wire out of the wiring end. I took a pair of plyers and opened the end up again, shoved the wire in there and squeezed it shut. Now I have no sound. I figured it just blew a fuse, but I checked the two in the amp, and they were fine. It's about 120 degrees outside, so I figured I'd see if you guys knew, before I went outside and started looking around.

Did you check the main fuse? The one that is inline in the main power wire for the amp? If it isn't blown im not sure. Maybe it killed the amp during the collision.

So I finally got off my *** and put my wire tester to work on the amp. It was the remote wire that wasn't working. I followed the wire, and it turned out that the bum in the passenger seat kicked the wire, and pulled it out of connector. Easy fix.

Lesson learned: If you think you probably shouldn't give your buddy a ride in your car that is torn to pieces... you probably shouldn't.

glad you fixed it. Didn't think of the friend kicking the wire trick. LOL.
