You need a relay.

When you first turn on your HIDs, the ballasts require near double the power for the first 5 seconds or so, to ignite the igniter. In some cases, cars do exactly what you are explaining and can only power one headlight at startup. A relay will act as an on/off switch to power your HIDs and to also be a safety precaution for not overloading your HIDs.

The factory wiring sucks. I don't care what anyone else says

I believe my problem before was concerning the left lowbeam connector, the wires were all chewed up and sticking out, if i messed with it a little bit the lights would come on fine. That is why i got the HIDs (well my excuse to anyway) because they do away with that connector, and the only place i could find the connector was the stealership for $80. (Cant find any fbods in the junkyards here)

Even if they do, the relay will only do good for your HIDs. It will bypass the shitty wiring and increase the life span of your HIDs

So what yall think? Time for a relay harness? Also, I need ideas of where to tap my harness into...I'm thinking maybe the popup headlight motors, so my lights still work like stock (the lights only flip up when you turn on the lights) i cant tap into my running lights cus they are on all the time....

or what do you think the possibility of wiring a small amp between the two wires....?

ideassss i need ideas!

its simple, take a hot lead off the battery and use the stock headlight wires to operate the new relay...

The kit I sent you comes setup with connectors to wire it directly to the battery. No need to tap anywhere.

dont know if this has been mentioned but when i first set up my LEDguages HIDs i was having problems too. make sure that the ballasts are NOT mounted on anything metal IE your radiator support or anything else that is grounded. for some reason it was shorting out my lights and would make a loud irregular HID noise. also one of my lights would not work. i mounted my ballasts to the grey fiberglass panel that the front bumper is mounted to with those push pins and everyhing worked perfect and still is working 2 years strong...

just for info, under-size/over-length wiring is a standard problem on f-bodies....

the "slow passenger's window motor" issue is a prime example.
- from day 1, my passenger's window was slow operating (just like everyone else).
- when my rebuild began, I did a 100% rewire of the car (ALL factory wire thrown out and totally rewired car with correct gauge wire)
- passenger's window now runs spot-on dead even speed with the driver's window (which even the driver's window runs faster than stock)

comparison, I installed HIDs on my 04 Silverado in both the lows AND Fogs, and upgraded the highs to 100Watt bulbs, yet they have always worked flawlessly (no relays installed or re-wire required)...
