Which lights? That relay on those solder points has nothing to do with headlights, tail lights, dome lights, turn signals, dash lights, etc...

I soldered one point on the T. I was able to roll up the top and the windows up however i still hear the clicking noise in the BCM. Is it possible that there is a wire not grounded which is making it get to hot and thats the reason for the moise I'm hearing every 9little seconds?

my car only has the head unit cutting out, but its an aftermarket head unit, would this be causing it to turn off and on?

Could be as odds are you aren't playing with your windows at the exact time the radio cuts. Wouldn't hurt to check, though it can be a little frustrating getting that BCM out and putting it back (at least it was for me).

Add me to the list- this fixed my 99 I have had the issue a couple years and I could temp fix by hitting power lock button a time or two till radio came back on then all was good for a while.
on a side note I have a interface for my Ipod to plug into the CD changer port and sometimes it would not play sometimes, and sometimes would play as normal this BCM repair ALSO took care of this problem (even though radio/windows were working normally)
One happy camper now! Thanks Guys - wish I'd done this sooner for sure

Did this to my 98 Trans Am many years ago. Never had an issue out of it after that. Windows, radio were my 2 big culprits and I am an audio guy...so I was beating my head in looking at the wiring for my radio even though I knew it was right. It was the BCM and it was those solder joints. Funny thing was, you really cannot tell by looking at them. I couldn't anyway. But I went ahead and resoldered those areas and the problem never came back.

Default Thank you

I busted down my BCM the other day and low and behold it had a bad joint on the power relay. I added a little solder and that fixed it. Thanks Greg Crow my radio and windows had been messed up for a year and a half.

I know this is an old post, but that is how mine started, at first it was just the radio cutting out, so I thought it was an issue with the radio, and I confirmed it was just the radio by rolling the windows up and down while the radio was out, but then it spread to also cause the windows to stop working and was taking longer to go back to working normally so I pulled the BCM, did the solder fix and have not had an issue since and that was last year sometime. I would take the radio only cutting out as the first sign of the issue starting.
