Need help quick please, dynamat in the doors

Please help, need a quick answer, when I put dynamat behind the speakers in the doors, do I take out that plastic surround, or keep it? and if I do keep it, do I put dynamat between the plastic and door itself, or between the plastic and the speaker, or both? Thanks in advance

I'm pretty sure you put in on the sheetmetal part of the door (behind the first metal piece and the plastic thing). All the way on the outer part of the door, atleast, that's where I'd put it.

Same here, and I used 2 layers inside the door then some around the speaker mount hole.

supposed to tare the plastic off then apply

When removing the plastic barrier I use a razor blade when pulling out on the plastic to cut cleanly through the black sticky stuff(cuts down on stringing it all over). When I'm done inside the door I just stick the clear plastic barrier back on.

I wasn't talking about the moisture barrier (the clear plastic sheet) I was actually talking about the molded black plastic piece that the speaker screws directly into. sorry if I didn't make that clear enough
