The state of the Vararam spacer as removed. I likely had a vacuum leak.

Note that the L99 water pump (left) has a thermostat outlet that points slightly downward vs. the L92 pump.

The overall height of the L99/LS3 pump is approximately 5/8" shorter than the L92.

The L92 pump features tensioner mount pads that are slightly more than 1.5" from the block mating surface. Unfortunately, I accidentally hit a couple buttons on my calipers, so the digital readout is off. It slightly larger than 36.8 mm.

In contrast, the L99 pump has a tensioner mount pad height of approximately 3", roughly 1.5" more than the L92.

Water pump mounts are the same at roughly 2.5".

Here are the LS1 F-body (left) and L99 (right) tensioner assemblies. Note that the LS1 tensioner comes stock with a ribbed pulley, and I swapped the pulleys for my setup. I've done the same with the L99 tensioner.

Note that the L99 tensioner body sits below the mounting points. This will require me to cut my front compressor bracket accordingly.

The L99 pump as installed. The outlet is very close to my fan, but the hose should still fit with minimal interference.

The red will be removed to accomodate the L99 tensioner, and the blue are tensioner mount points (I'll obviously need to drill the bracket).

I tried to get a photo to show that the tensioner mount pads on the water pump are almost exactly at the same position as my forward bracket. I'll double-check once I install the tensioner. By my calculations, this means that the passenger-side cylinder head sits about 1" back from the front of the block.

The L92 pump is roughly 5/8" further out vs. the L99, though the pulleys are spaced the same.

The L92 tensioner mount pads just over 1.5" from the block. Disregard the digital reading, I bumped it and messed it up.

LS1 tensioner (left) vs. L99. Both come stock with a ribbed pulley; I installed the smooth one for my application (and will do the same with the L99).

The outlet sits fairly close to my Taurus fan, though it appears that the hose will still fit.

I tried to get a photo showing the location of the tensioner mounts vs. the forward bracket. I believe it's close enough to work without a spacer, though I'll need to verify once installed.
