I literally just bolted the plates to the block, ground the arm down to the right length and then set it in place and put a couple of good tack welds on things to hold it in place once I put the engines weight on them to see how much the rubber in the arms moved. I was happy to see they did have SOME flex but not a lot......it actually looked to be just about what I was looking for.
