I made it shorter and a bit smaller than the cardboard cutout I had made

I kind of tacked and welded it onto the hole I drilled into the top of the neck. I'll be sealing it with sealant in case my weld isn't the water tight

I used a steel fitting with a brass 5/8" barb fitting to go on the neck

Also I finished up the majority of the dually! I have a few items left to deal with before any long trips but its basically done. Its also ridiculously low, and its static still so that will be an adventure.

I'll have to cut the flex duct shorter but it'll fit perfect! I hope it'll help keep the intake temp down.

I have to say the new Everlast welder makes all this stuff a hell of a lot easier

Cardboard was obviously the medium of choice for this.

I have a front chin spoiler with cutouts, so I just had to make a plenum

Decided the air box needed a little Pontiac "Ram Air" fanciness. The 3" duct pipe and hole saw all seemed to make the most sense for this attempt

Also going to run some sort of air box, but its just cardboard at this point

I wanted to bead roll that square, but its too small of a flat spot to really do much to add strength

I can honestly say I won't mind not working on this thing for a while. Also I've never had a more annoying car to pull a gas tank out of (its under the center console)

Jegs had a sale so I figured it was as good a time as any to buy these :)

Got both to bolt in at a few points, just need some more metal added to a few places.

Its all in there for now, I'll do the final cleaning and finishing once I get a driveshaft.

Figured something like this would work to bolt in like stock but meet NHRA rules

Got a "cheap" driveshaft safety loop to modify

made the seat rails lower and angled to work with the C4 seats (well any other GM car seat)

The headers need to be modified a little, especially the direction of the collector on the drivers side. One nice thing was the 4L80e fit without any issues at all!

The engine is in the "stock" location and its the same height it should have been with the factory mounts. Plus the F-body headers dropped right in from the top!

My only complaint is how hard it is to work with 1/4" material. Its about as thick as I'd ever want to weld, and I only did it because I could weld both sides. Its also a pain to cut and drill even with a bandsaw and drill press.

Its all 1/4" plate so its hopefully strong enough (its overbuilt bu a fair bit I think)

I decided instead to do away with the adapter completely and just build an adapter with a mount on it, so less bolts and a more simple design overall

I was originally just going to replicate the original clamshell, but shorter.

So I started with some 1/4" plate to build a new clamshell out of

For some reason its like the engine is too wide, or the mounts are...

The engine and transmission physically fit in the space, but there is a problem.

The engine and transmission actually fit! Who would have thought I'd get this right after all this time?

I got my steering figured out with the Camaro Column and the Jeep Cherokee Shaft. Just need to make a plate to close up the firewall hole.
