Engine Options

Renew Sports Car uses the chassis of the first generation Miata to build their innovative vehicles. Customers get to choose from three engine options when buying a cannabis hemp sports car: the Canna 225, which uses the Miata's V4 engine; an LS engine for the Canna 525 option, or the Canna EV, which is an electric motor option for the ones wanting to save the environment further.

Cannabis Hemp Structure

The question is why are they using cannabis hemp as a component to build the bodies of these vehicles? The body is made from 100-pounds of cannabis, and the cannabis material makes for lighter weight than fiberglass. In addition to those attributes, the body is an extremely durable structure that is resistant to dents. Finally, the use of hemp absorbs carbon from the air when it's grown and it is biodegradable, making this a great step into reducing our carbon-print. The production of these cars is actually helping the environment get to a better place through the process of growing the cough, materials needed.

LS Power

The cars this company is building are quite impressive, but the most impressive option is the one with the LS engine. The Canna 525 comes equipped with an LS crate engine from General Motors, which makes the total weight of the sports car 2,800-pounds. The company recommends this engine for the more experienced drivers, as it develops 525-horsepower, thanks to the light weight of the vehicle and the legendary motor.

The V4 Miata engine develops 225-horsepower, and the Canna EV electric engine puts out 80-horsepower.
