John Hennessey’s Z/28 Camaro is Insane
The Chevy Camaro Z/28 is an absolute hellion. It’s naturally aspirated dry sump LS7 is a gift from the gods. Only when you fully experience it on the track do you realize the staggering feat Chevy pulled off in creating that car. It’s 305 tires all the way around and carbon brakes are just breathtaking. Seriously, you stop so hard you’ll have to catch your breath.
However, there are those out there that believe the Z/28 is just not fast enough for them. Thankfully, mad scientists like John Hennessey still exist in the world and they’re more than willing to turn the dial well past 11 for the right price.
What you just witnessed is the HPE1000 Z/28 Camaro. It has 807 horsepower to the wheels, and around 700 lb-ft of torque, again…to the wheels. This is seriously one of the most ridiculously awesome cars in the world, and Hennessey decided what it needed was a 500 horsepower bump. My. God. Just go back and listen to that supercharger whine. It’s intoxicating.
