Default Any N/A LT1s in the 10 sec club?

Speak up And specify if you are S/R or H/R
I'm looking to see just what it takes to pull it off with an H/R.

EDIT: Found an old thread with a few. https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...3&highlight=95

Not tough with S/R setups, certainly a challenge with an H/R; at least in a car that isn't gutted.

Not many people troll these sections looking to answer threads I suppose.
I got a lot more response in similar threads started in the tech section

Im in at 3700+lbs See sig.

And no its NOT easy. Especially at full weight. Even more hard if you REALLY want to street drive the car.

Mine has more in it. Still needs more converter and could take some more gear.

Gut the car to 3200 ready to race, 4.30 gear, correct converter, right suspension, 420 ish rwhp MIGHT get you there. But would not be very streetable.

420 to the tire is about the norm for a STOUT 383 through a converter.

The heavier the car, the more the rwhp needed goes up. As does the suspension.

In november I ran 11.22 @ 122mph...with much improvement left in the driver mod...I'm all motor 396 LT1, 3450lbs with me in it, manual tranny.

So...I'm doing some suspension tweaks now, bolting on some slicks, adding some 100 octane gas and hoping to eeek it in the 10s. It puts down 437rwhp, 432rwtq.

My car could be driving daily and is a hydraulic cam. It sometimes has two baby seats in the back, full interior (removed passenger and rear seats for drag racing), and stock k-member and a-arms. Check it out on youtube:

here's a vid a friend of mine took:

here's it at the track last month:
