417 rwhp/425 rwtq N/A LS1 with stock cam!
It was decided that we try out a set of their CNC 241 castings with the stock cam just to see how it does, as there's not a lot of people out there doing this. The results are surprising. Without a lot tuning the car gained 30rwhp/30rwtq. On 3 different dynos around here it made 395-401lbft and 386-390rwhp sae. After making that much, I hoped it was possible to make 400 rwhp. So I added some 1.85 rockers. Our local shop just installed the new eddy current dynojet so I went over there to see what the car was putting down and to do some touching up on the tune if needed. The first pull the car was way fat (rockers changed it?) and went 386rwhp. We started leaning it out from 11’s AF to high 12-13AF and it just kept making more power. The stock cam is making it fall off, but the torque curve is unbelievable for the low rpm it turns. And being nearly 2 tons in weight with a stock gear, my car needs all the help it can get getting motivated and moving. I can report that this thing drives totally stock, sounds totally stock (untill I nail the throttle!) and still pulls off 30 mpg. We totally acheived my goal....and then some!
So here's the results. On the graph you'll see 4 pulls. The 360 rwhp pull is what I did with just bolt on's. The 2nd pull is where we got the car to make 407, but after a few pulls it seemed the MAF was really wanting to work with us, so we tried a speed density tune where we were able to pick it up to 417 rwhp. The last pull is without the belt on which is the way I run it at the track....it put down 429 rwhp/430 rwtq! I was totally amazed.
Wait...you daily drive it and chance running it with no current and no water circulations at the track? My friend you are ballsier then i am.

Again, not bashing you. Very impressive numbers.

Number's were put down on a new Dynojet 224XLC with a load current option (it was turned off). Here's a graph with the heads and before the rockers on another dynojet 248X (Stable Dyno) vs the first pull with the current setup but running waaay rich (JR dyno). hey, I dont think you're bashing, I wouldnt have believe it myself either!

Stolen straight from the LT1 rulebook!

on the tq ...on ave M6's have less tq than hp ... but congrats !
