Default Ive outdone myself on street tires once again

Last night at Atco raceway in NJ

the air was really good and i made a few minor adjustments with the shocks, air pressure and launching

i ran a few low 12 sec passes on 1.9 60's

then an 11.99 @ 117.89 on a 1.89 60'
then an 11.98 @ 117.06 on a 1.86 60'
then an 11.89 @ 118.27 on a 1.83 60'

tires are Sumitomo HTR Z 245 50 16 @ 26psi left the line between 3000-3500 rpm, slipping the clutch kind of quickly and just about matting the gas pedal after it moves

i need to find a way to get my 330' down. it spins quite a bit toward the top of 1st and into 2nd gear. i think i could hit 11.80 if i can figure that out. on slicks and good air, im looking to
go 11.59-11.60s as it sits.

2 low 12 sec passes from earlier before my friend had to go home.

thank you. i dont have an exact number, but id say it was right around 3380 last night

ive weighed it before with some interior in, me and stock wheels/tires and half tank of gas, it was 3480

i had the skinnies on and a few interior items out
and about 2 gallons of gas in the car at the time of the 11.89 pass
id say it was around 3320-3360lbs

in the very near future, im getting a tubular kmember, and a arms. looking to get qa1s up front as well thats -43lbs

and eventually a fiberglass stock looking (flat) hood -32lbs

with slicks on the back it should drop another 50lbs between both wheels

so i have around 125lbs more that can come off.

im thinking of going with 4.10 gears to replace my 3.42s which currently move the car lol

im looking to be around 3200 with my 200lb self in it

nice times ,man . !! i did the same thing last season . we both need to bolt some drag radials on our cars and and post some solid mid to low 11-second passes .

your car pulls hard on the top-end, i say you can go 11.5's -11.4's easy with a solid hook . remember traction is = low ET's . keep up the good work.

here is the one video I got of Ron going 11.98. The video is crappy because it was taken while I was doing a burnout in the staging lanes. If you wait for the last frame in the video you will see that 11.98 is on the board. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6svULXTW60

I was also there and filmed an 12 second pass at 108 when he was running out of gas. This car and driver combo are no joke!

Great weather, Atco, that race weight, and a great driver will do some amazing things. Awesome times. You are running QA1s in the rear?

thanks fellas, i havent checked this thread in a while. i have KYB AGX 8way adjustable shocks/struts with stock springs up front, V6 springs in the rear. suspension set at 1 on all 4 corners. that worked the best on street tires @ 26 psi in the rears

Atco is definately an awesome track, it hooks really good out there
accordring to the density altitude calculator, the DA was -2003'

track elevation 33'
temp 37*F
relative humidity 29%
Baro 30.43

that would explain the 118+mph trap speed. i ran a week later and only trapped a little over 117mph. the DA on that day was +25'

great numbers!

I'd stick to 3.42s unless you get some really sticky tires. the 4.10 will kill a little MPH and it will be harder to hook..
