Default Anyone in the 11's sound stock?

Do any of you have a stock sounding cam and run in the 11's. I am considering the TR Cheatr cam, but not sure if it will suppport the et's I'm looking for. Car is a daily driver, so I don't want to gut it for weight reduction. I'm hoping to go 11's with Ls6 intake, cam, Lt's, stall, and 12 bolt with dr's. I want a good stock sounding sleeper. Maybe not stock, but at least close, with very little lope. What do you guys think?

No cam but still have a stock rear exhaust and I am running 11.27's so far. I think there is more in the car. That pass was on a 95 deg day with 85% hum.

Thumbs up

Yes, I just touched the 11s with a stock cam (and cat back) although the cut out was open so it wasn't as quiet as normal, sounds stock when capped though.

My F13 with 114 lsa does not sound stock. If you have any meaningful lift and duration, you will need a lot of lsa (116, 117) to make it sound like stock. LPE's cam might work for you.

Are you talking about the GT2-3? You guys have some quick cars. What are you doing to get in the 11's with stock cams? All bolt on's, heads, and weight reduction?

I want a car that can run maybe even mid 11's at the track, and most people wouldn't be able to tell it wasn't stock on the street.

I ran a GT2 with a Vortech SQ and a Venom 2000, 100shot setup and it ran like a dream. Oh, how I wish I had that 2001 SS back.

It's going to be very difficult to run 11's with a car that looks and sounds stock. I can run 11's with a 346 with F13 at 114 lsa through Randon Tech cats and Magnaflow exhaust, but if you listen closely you can hear the cam.

I have all bolt-ons, stock internals and no weight reduction. My mods are
down below with a video to check out. I would say the converter was the best thing that I did to the car. Race weight was 3525. Hope this helps, jt

01 B4C, Thats pretty impressive. Can't get the video to play though. Says it's not a file that quick time understands.

I ran with stock cams, heads, manifolds, no cats, cutouts, intake and TB. With the cutout open it sound alittle racy.

Xtremespeed, update your quicktime and see if it runs. It works just fine for me using quicktime via Firefox.

I don't know what the deal is. I tried to update my quick time, but it said my software was up to date, so I removed it from my computer and downloaded the latest version. I still can't open the video. It says this.

Couldn't open the file "Ls1[1].mov" because it is not a file that Quick Time understands.

I have other quick time .mov files on my computer and i can watch them just fine. WTF?

Figured it out kinda. My firewall was doing something to prevent it from downloading. It would go through the process, but the file would contain no data. That's why quick time didn't understand it. I disabled my firewall for a few seconds, and it downloaded fine. Weird!

Now back to the subject. Thats a cool video 01 B4C. Love the way your car launches! Now I have to figure out what it's going to take to get mine where you are.
