Professional products vs Fast vs LS6 intake numbers
the motor is a stock bottom end 2001 LS1 with the following
TSP MS3 cam
ARP rod bolts
stage 2.5 5.5L ported.CNC'd heads combo from TSP with upgraded valvetrain
Professional Products 96mm intake manifold
RevXtreme 95mm throttle body
36# flow matched injectors
JTR 1 7/8" longtube ceramic coated headers
tuned on HPTuners prosuite
made 526HP @ 6900rpm and 447FT/LBS @5200rpm... I'd say thats pretty decent for about 3500 bucks canadian, i am pleased with the numbers... and going in my 2700lbs car it will be a rocket!

so after we finished the tuning on my setup we figured we'd test against the other common intakes since it only takes like 20 min to change them out so they could be all dyno tested under the exact same conditions
here are the results
stock LS6 intake with stock LS1 78mm throttle body - 517HP 450TQ (blue line) about 200 bucks
my setup listed above (red line) about $800 w/ manifold and TB
Fast 92mm intake with 90mm throttle body - 535.6HP 459.2TQ (black line) about $1200 or more w/ manifold and TB

what do you guys think?

Well done, and thanks for taking one for the team.
That may be the best intake comparison thread ever!!!
Looks like the FAST intake is way better at producing power everywhere!!!
Thank you for sharing.

I'm amazed how the fast builds power everywhere, usually people say they lose power down low, I know my car felt stronger everywhere, especially above 4k rpm
would be awesome to see the tpis ls6 and ported fast thrown into the mix too, but this was awesome either way!

Once factor I would have liked to see was the heat differences, to prove/disprove the Pro Products heat soak issues, or lack there of.
Now the cost of a fast is retarded...mine was bought used for $500, otherwise I would have a ls6 instead.
and as far as the heat soak issue... my motor was run hard for about 2 hours doing the tuning with the Pro products manifold on before doing this comparison so it was really very warm haha... whereas the other two were nice and cool and run as soon as they were strapped on
no doubt the FAST is far superior to the other two over the entire curve. however i do think the the pro products may have made a few more ponies if it had been cool like the other two... either way its some good info i thought i'd post up since i know it has always been a big question for many LS guys
