Setting up a Accufab 4500
Ok, so i was looking for a 4150 to run on my 408 with a vic jr. intake, im switching from a 90* elbow. Well, i got a 4500 accufab instead, and it came wit hthe 4500 to 4150 adapter. BUT DAMN THAT ***** TALL. I dont mind finishing the hack job on my cowl, but does anyone have any pics of this complete? even if i completely remove my cowl up to the winsheild, will it even fit?? the adapter itself is 2" think

Next, im pulling the motor to get the car to a chasis shop to do the 12 cage, chasis, and suspension work. while thats being dont ill figure out the nitrous set up. I guess im going to go with the Big Shot 2 stage set up. ill update with pics as it goes. Im also takeig everything i can out of the car to getthe weight down. wish me luck. iv had this car for 9 years and it has went from dd to everything in between that and what is becoming. cant wait to see some single didgets finally

If you have a good local fab guy, ya could have the 4150 flabge milled off the intake, have the 4500 welded onto it, and then just port the opening to smooth it back out.
With a bridgeport, someone that's good at welding alum, and a little work you can put a 4500 on just about any intake.
I've already seen 2 done this way, so I know it will work

I'd look into it. All someone has to do is put the intake on a bridgeport, have the 4500 flange in hand, notch the intake (milling the old one off pretty much) for the 4500 flange, then weld it on the inside and outside.
Report it a little bit to smooth where it was welded, and you're good to go.
Probably can call LME I see you had them build the motor...they probably can do it I'd think, if not they for sure have someone that can.

I'm still considering it, but need to figure out a few facts first. My super vic and fuel rails should be on their way to my house now so it is getting down to decision time.

OK, I just got my super vic in the mail today. For some odd reason my super vic has no provisions for intke manifold gaskets. I reaad the directions and it says you have to use a specific intaake gasket, but there's no spot for them. Thoughts? I'll post a picture tomorrow.

A carbed intake and carb/carb style TB do not use an o-ring to seal like our factory TBs they just use a standard flat cork/rubber/paper gasket sandwiched in between the tb and intake. with it being a 4500series TB that gasket may need to be ordered form jegs/summit. a regular 4150 gasket can be had at most any parts store.
EDIT, nevermind I read your post too fast, your asking about the intake port gaskets, not sure what to tell you, I thought they were machined with a groove for the o rings.
