Got well in the 12s! 12.24@111.38
My 3rd meeting with Outlaw Street and another big improvement in ET, MPH and RT throughout the day.
Still got a bit of tuning to do, but running much better now.
Finally getting somewhere with the dial in on my LQ9 motor. Still having traction issues off the line, but I am on street tyres with leaf springs...
1.7750 60'
7.824@88.88 1/8 mile
12.2478@111.38 1/4 mile
Over the course of the day I improved from 13.1 to 12.44 and 108 to 111. The first run in the 13's was on cold tires and I got about 20yds of wheel spin.
I was having trouble getting in the 12's on my last outing, since then I have:
Replaced the exhaust from the headers back with a Pypes SG13R system with race pro mufflers. This replaced a 2.5" system with chambered mufflers.
I also noticed it was leaning out a bit at the top end of the track, only up to around 13.2 but it wouldn't have been helping. I couldn't tune it out so I cleaned all my filters, replaced my fuel pump and return line and now my AFR is perfect at 12.7 all the way through.
Today I did 6 runs, each time increasing the ignition timing 1 degree from 25deg to 30deg. 30 seems to be the sweet spot for my motor taking it from 108 to 111.38mph. I went as far as 31 and the MPH dropped back to 110.9 so I pulled that 1 deg back out.
I'm running on the best pump gas available in the UK, Shell V Power Nitro+
So, with the modifications in my signature is this about what I should expect from the motor?

much better than your last thread , awesome improvement !
It should still be a lot quicker with 6.0 with heads , cam 4000 stall and 4.11's.
sticky tires alone should get you to 11.99 from there the trap seems a bit low for that combo do you know what the DA was ? if it was hot , humid and or at high altitude that would explain a low trap as well.

They never tell us the DA in the UK. The track is at about 100', it was about 21deg C, 65% humidity. Pretty ideal conditions.
I don't have much else to play with regarding the tune. I can add some fuel and see what happens, then pull some.
Being able to launch properly will help the time, but I think there's still some MPH hiding in there somewhere....

you can always bring a little weather station with you and plug in the altitude , temp , humidity , and baro and get your own da...
your 2nd gen will trap a bit lower than the same combo would in a 4th gen just due to the windshield being stood up more than a 4th gen but I agree that combo should yield higher traps despite being slightly less aerodynamic.

Crap times today, very slippery track and a 40mph head wind probably didn't help at all.
12.96@109.11 was the best effort. ET was 0.7 down on my PB and 2mph short too.
Just could not get traction at all today - and it wasn't just me....
I did get a couple of nice photos from Blackett Photography though...
