Need Electronic to mechanical speedo conversion
I was wondering if anyone knows of any companies that have the conversion box that takes a vss signal and runs a mechanical speedometer? Thanks

My brother was looking for the same thing. the cable X is the only one that I have heard of being used. But I might try this one http://www.dragonaero.com/SpeedChang...anicalPage.htm $130 is a lot better than 300, I just can`t find anyone who has actually used it yet.

If you have a 4l60 e there is also a kit for the tail shaft that converts it to mechanical cable driven for the speedo. I think it runs 300+. I believe Bman did this in his lemans he is building.

Got my cable x off of ebay through i believe their ebay store it was alot cheaper and great support after i bought it. I got the 30 slot model which they say does not have the problem of a bouncing needle. I mounted mine in the engine compartment on the fenderwell. Do a search on ebay for abbott cable x. I am very happy with mine. It let me keep the factory gauges and that was what i wanted.

I worked with http://www.cmacable.com through the entire process of modifying my ATV. They have A+ customer service and an excellent line of cable and restraints. If you are looking for Mechanical Cables cma is the way to go!

Do a search on EBay. Tachman 1 has the best prices. That is who I bought mine from. Funny thing though he is in the same town where Abbott Industries is located. I only paid about $250 for mine. Cheaper than If I bought directly from Abbott Industries. I have yet to install it so I cannot comment on any noise. I really haven't heard any problems though. Tachman1 has an auction going right at this moment.
