What's a good book on modifying LS engines?
There's a couple on amazon, but I just want to know which is the best to read to learn more about LS engines, how to change out parts of the engine, transmission, facts, best bolt-ons etc.
Information about changing and choosing heads, cams, valve terrain, pistons, nitrous. Every thing.
Is there such a book that covers all of it.
I know there is a sticky that shows a lot of books, just looking for the best one.

I have "how to build and modify GM LS-Series Engines by Joseh Potak" who works at TSP. Its very informative and has tons of pictures, one major let down for me though. I was expecting the book to actually show you how to to do the mods your self i.e. step for step how to take heads off and all that. But it does give you a TON of information on what parts to buy and how to match them to give you the most bang for your buck and what combinations are best. Over all very great book, which brings me to my next point.
Is there a book that covers step by step how to actually perform mods (cam swap heads so on)?

The book suggested should have what both you and I are looking for. I'm just wondering if anyone has it.
I heard the book from TSP is great, but I just wanted an informative book to show me how to change out heads, cams, and pretty much any other parts, with pictures.

I think ls1howto.com shows you how to change out heads, cams, etc. Poke around that site; definitely helped me a dozen times or so.

How to Rebuild GM LS-Series Engines (S-A Design) by Chris Werner is another option. Although, I have not read it.

Why not read and learn things you thought you wouldn't need to know.
Why not read a book and instead of having 1000 questions, you now have 10.
Don't get me wrong, Ls1tech, is a great tool as well.

plus sometimes it's just easier to find the info you need in a hurry from a book you have on hand instead of having to come on here or any other forum and search through all the threads to find what you need.

I put as much info as I could fit into that first one and much of the included steps can be implemented in other areas of the engine, such as: if you are doing rockers only read that section, if installing full heads/cam swap and need to degree in the cam, that is in there too. Its just a matter of which section to follow, about the only thing missing is the specific in-car teardown and reassembly of external compenents.
Thanks everyone for the feedback, its nice to accidentally come across someone talking about my book work.
