Anyone thats has a Pitbull w/clipped ears
I am trying to find out some information on clipping a pitbulls ears. Dont know if I am set on doing this or not but want to get information. If you had your bullies clipped PM me please.
Any comments on this thread are welcome just please do not try and preach to me not to clip them because it is my choice and I think a Pitbull with it's ears clipped right and taken care of is a great look for one.

I've got a couple bully's. I was going to have both their ears clipped when I got them but called around to multiple vets and the cheapest was $275 a dog. I couldn't see paying that much after spending a grip on my dogs. Here's a couple pics of them about 7 months ago, Chopper's still about the same size a little more solid now and Bentley's almost 90 lbs now. She's a beast, and the daughter of the #1 stud in the world-Kanya the bull (the dog in my avatar).

I have a year old red nose, she's about 50 lbs. Zeus is my beast though, he's almost 5 months old and weighs 51 lbs. He's an awesome gold and black brindle. I have to keep them from killing my two year old daughter though!! Lol

I personally dont clip any of my dogs. My opinion is that cropping ears is a functional thing. It was originated because of fighting or hunting. I do neither with mine. On top of the fact that it doesnt help others visual perception of the animal. But if you do get it done, go to a reputable Vet. that knows what they are doing.

I have had all of mine clipped. A good vet will put the dog to sleep and do it. My vet puts them to sleep and keeps the dog for 3 days to take care of them before sending them home.

Just depends on the breed, my homeboy's dog Spanky came up to around my hip (I'm 6'0") and was real thin/lean, such a hyper lil **** but there are other breeds that are a lot lower to the ground and thicker in the body

My 9 Years old female has her ears clipped..... a Pit Bull just isn't a pitbull without his/hers ears clipped IMO, they just look Goofy with floppy ears....
We got our female done @ Kingland Animal clinic years ago....
Side note I wouldn't own another Pit, just for the simple fact of Home owners Insurance, Stigma or the breed, Liablity... Etc We just pick up our new baby girl @ weeks ago (French Bulldog)
