Looks like you'd just need the alternator and its bracket, plus the stock tensioner. My only worry there would be a relative lack of belt wrap around both the crank and the water pump - doesn't the truck setup mount the alternator up top? Maybe that would be a better solution for an alt-only drive.

That is a Camaro accessory drive. Sweet set up, I am assuming thats not your picture if you are asking what parts you would need, do you know who's motor that is, and if that accessory drive works like that?

I don't think the truck alternator mount is the right solution. You might have some interference from the belt in the TB area with the LS6 style intake, even if you removed the idle pulley that does interfere from the bracket and went straight across. A picture will explain better, this is a truck accessory drive with a ls6 style intake laid on top.

I want to adapt the C5 setup, like mentioned way in the beginning of this thread, for my 71 Chevy pickup, without the steering pump. It should work I think, however it would look funny with the alternator stretched out there with a narrow span of width between the belt ends. Has anyone used the setup without the power steering pump? Here is a picture of the C5 setup.

Can the LS2/LS7 G.M. #19155067 setup be used on an LS1? I am asking because My dads 65 Nova has nothing right now and we have to decide which GM kit will work better with his TCI front clip.

Default Pics

Thought some pics would add value to this thread (since I've been searching for pics of the different layouts) and save someone a lot of time....

1) F-Body accessories w/o AC (I'm sure someone on here has a good pic of a complete setup).

2) C5 Corvette layout

3) LM7 Truck layout with measurements

4) C5 Corvette verical dimensions

5) C5 Corvette overall dimensions

I haven't yet found a set of dimensions for the F-Body accessory drive layout. If anyone has one or could take some direct measurements and add it here I'm sure it'd be appreciated.

One thing I find odd...The truck layout appears to be the narrowest of the three. Go figure. I realize height is a critical dimension for a lot of swappers but for those of us putting this motor in cars from the 30's, width is our key issue.

HTH someone,
Richard

Default Link to Car Craft article

Here's a link to a really good LS swap article in Car Craft with a lot of pics and part numbers. Probably a repost, but good info.

I was told to use the C6 corvette power steering pulley because it is metal and not plastic. Anyone have a part number for this? Is this info correct? Thanks in advance.

Here is the C6 power steering pulley part number #12568997. Keep in mind that it is 6.70" in diameter.

If you're looking for the exploded parts diagrams with gm part numbers check out compnine.com I've found all of the part numbers for the fbody accessories there.

that website is down, stating that they are out of business, I am still looking for a complete parts, list, including bolts, as I may have to just order the majority of this from gmpartsdirect.com

Default Camaro 2010-11 Accessory Drive LQ4

Hi All;

Did some searching came up with this:

19207665 water pump
12551926 water pump bolt 6x
12587395 water pump inlet
11516480 water pump inlet bolt 2x
89018168 water pump thermostat
12587397 water pump thermostat seal
12628025 water pump tensioner
11515768 water pump tensioner Bolt 2x

12610792 P/S pump bracket
92229662 P/S pump
11588725 P/S pump bolt
12610794 P/S pump pulley

12610789 alternator bracket
13501721 alternator
13502989 alternator
11514597 alternator bracket bolt
11610447 alternator bracket stud
12568996 alternator idler pulley

If I go this route I'd able to keep the balancer of the LQ4 and the AC bracket and compressor.

Questions for this setup:
Still missing some parts just bolts I think? Anything else? Anyone had them?
Does the water pump come with the inlet and thermostat?
There seem to be 2 alternators does anyone know the difference?

2nd option:

The camaro seems to have 2 water pumps:

19180610 this one is also used on the corvette and also has the outlet on driver side but is shorter, this means I'd have to change the balancer.
It seems like I'd have to change all the accesories also but cant find other part numbers for this setup only for the corvette setup with alternator on top.

(I'm looking for alternator on bottom setup)

Is this because this water pump is really just for the corvette? Or do the accessories still work somehow?

Thanks!

Hi All;

Thought someone might be interested in this, G8 setup:

19180610 Water pump Corvette Driver Outlet Driver
12551926 Water pump bolt
92236235 A/C Compressor
92252927 A/C Compressor Bracket w/ Tentioner and Pulley
11588734 A/C Compressor Bolt
92067654 A/C Compressor Bracket Stud
11515767 A/C Compressor Bracket Bolt
92234561 A/C Compressor Insulator
92174214 Steering Pump
11588734 Steering Pump Bolt
92218308 Steering Pump Pulley
92067625 Steering Pump Bracket
11518631 Steering Pump Bracket Bolt
92202130 Steering Reservoir
92207627 Steering Reservoir Cap (included with the reservoir)
92068168 Steering Reservoir Bracket
11588738 Steering Reservoir Bracket Bolt
92174420 Steering Reservoir Hose
92193199, 92191127 Generator
11900278 Generator Bolt
92067034 Generator Front Bracket
92067126 Generator Rear Brace
12569301 Tensioner
11515768 Tensioner Bolt
92221552 Idler Pully

The waterpump is the one with the outlet on the driverside.
There is one with the passenger side outlet too.

I'm also missing few bolt for the alternator brackets.

I also did some research on the LSA AC Kit pn 19244106 I think this would fit but I'm not sure does anyone know for sure? This would be much cheaper alternative for the AC since the compressor alone for the G8 is much more then the complete LSA kit.

Cheers!
