I need help with my 1994 z28 transmission
I have a 94 lt1 camaro with a 4l60 transmission.
Let me start by saying before I put my gears in the rear end I did not think anything was wrong with it. But than once I put the 4.10 gears in my friend told me that my car only shifting in to two gears.so if I have to rebluild it how much should I have to pay I'm not looking to go really fast just basic, hotcam plus full bolt ons and I have a hypertech power programmer 3. Help maybe it's not my transmission maybe it is.

no i never got it tune for 4.10 gears yet, because my hyper-tech programmer is not reading my computer, he said i might need a pcm plug the one under the steering wheel that you connect to check your check engine light. We took it to autozone to see if there reader will read it and that did not work.

Is your hypertech prgrammer for OBD1 computers or OBD2? Your car would be OBD1 but I know in '95 that the computers were OBD1 but the underdash connector was an OBD2 connector, which confuses the **** out of people. Im not sure if late '94 cars had OBD2 connecters like the 95's did or not. Nevertheless, those hypertech programmers have a terrible rep around here, just so you know.
Also, disregaurd grumpy people on here.
PCMForless and Madz28/ion can tune OBD1 computers and both have a lot of feedback on here. Research them both and check them out. Im personally using Madz28.
Hope that helps some

There are some other options for tunes as well, but those two seem to be the most commonly used.
