Need 1/4 mile times for stock LT1 94-96
Like it says, I'd like to know what should be expected out of a 94-96 TA or Camaro that is LT1 powered.
I want numbers out of stock show-room condition car (street tires, no weight reduction, nothing added).
Tkx a lot in advance !

I was racing my '94 LT1 in '95 back when a lot of them were (still) bone stock or nearly so. I'm way more in agreement with screamin94Z than the guys claiming faster times. Hell, I've seen 'em run 14.1 to 14.3 mostly. OF COURSE, it depends heavily on track conditions, DA, etc. etc. I'm sure a 100% stock LT1 F-body on a great track at sealevel with cold, dry air could run some mid-high 13's. But I still hold that a more "typical" time would be a low 14 sec. pass.

After reading this, it looks to me like LT1s run the same or faster in the 1/4 than LS1s. I always thought LS1s were in the 13s and LT1s were in the 14s. I read stock LT1 13.3 in one post... thats damn good, faster than some stock LS1s!!! This is all news to me: I always thought the LT1s are faster in the 1/8 because of the low rpm torque curve, but the LS1s would overtake LT1s in the 1/4 because of the high torque peak on the curve.

Not saying anyone is right/wrong but I never saw a stock LT1 run in the 13's. If they did I would have never ordered my 01. 14.2 for my 96 m-6 formula, 13.6 for 01 A4 WS6 and times dropped as the mileage went up. Maybe just all the freak LT1 cars are posting and all the dog LS1s are doing the same. The LT1's do sound 100% better and their low-end tq was great but come 3400rpm in the ls1 its bye,bye time.

For the most part, LS1's will be faster than LT1's. I'd say most LT1's ran in the 13.8-14.2 range. Mostly depends on launch and shifting to go faster.
When I dynoed mine, it was pretty much right where it was supposed to be...274/305 at the wheels. That was the same weekend of my 13.50 run. Granted MIR is a good hooking track and November weather helped, but my short time was only 2.0 on that run.
