benefits of stroking motor *noob questions*
So my car is basically bolt ons and a stall, curious on benefits of stroking the ls1 to a 408ci, i have heard many people about it and have tried searching on actual gains from this, or is there another reason to stroking.
im not a mechanic so i just dont know sorry, for being dumb is there any good reference sites or what not to understand more about this?
Thanks.

o and you can buy a bare cast iron 6.0 block from scdc for around $659.00. and then there are several companies(lunati, eagle, etc.) out there that sell stroker kits for around $3000.00 which isn't a bad buy.

Also..."stroking" your current block can cost almost as much as buying a *new* shortblock. Machine work is not the cheapest thing in the world.
Also with buying a shortblock, you can have it built for your application. Nitrous/FI/NA...what ever you need it for. All around. Best bet.

id just buy a short or long block fro ma vendor here. it'll save time, which saves you money. hell, id rather just buy the long block and get new covers, intake, rails and what not. a turnkey motor will pull alot more $ than a longblock on ebay
i know im not investing any money into this block because if i keep it its going fi, if i trash it, im going iron 408, so theres not much point to spending 2grand for a cam
