Default Cleaning up the front end: SAP

Hey gang, when I bought my car it had old sap on it. Looks like it's been there for ages, blackish hard lookin crap. Is there any safe way of removing it without hurting the paint?

rubbing alcohol or a very mild paint thinner will get it right off. it softens it and wipes right off. just make sure you wax it afterwards.

Lighter fluid works well on most road tar like things on the paint.

Clay bar should help a lot also.

Do a search, it has been covered.

Basically you can get a mothers clay bar kit for under $20. Comes with the clay bar and detail spray. Get the area clean. Then use the quick detailer as a lubricant for the clay bar to slide across the paint. Wipe off when finished. It'll take any wax off so you'll need to wax afterward.
