Default Cowl Hoods step inside!

I really need a cowl hood that will clear my alternator. I have to get a cowl hood. I've been looking at the vfn, glasstek, and trufiber hoods. I really want a 4" cowl and I'd like to get them with the centerline. Trouble is, I can't find a cowl hood picture from the side. I'd really like to see how that looks from the side.

From the pictures, it doesn't look like there is much of an angle on the cowl portion of the hood where it meets the windshield. I want to have the curve with the windshield. If I can't find a picture of the truefiber hood from the side its going to be a coin flip between glasstek and vfn.

If someone has a link to a side view of the true fiber hood, I'd like to see it. I spelled it three different ways incase anyone is searching and I have no clue how its spelled.

I like the way that your hood curves near the windshield. I can't tell how this hood will look

That hood looks good except like you say, up by the windshield. Its too square in the rear. I think the angle at the windshield makes it look alot better IMO. It would make changing wiper blades easier.haha

In certain angles you of yours it looks the same, but then when you see the side view of your hood, you think to yourself there's no way that it looks like that. I guess its possible, is all about the angle of the dangle

I bought it from a company up in Tennessee and I do not remember their name and can't find the invoice ... I tried to buy a sonoco hood from VFN on two ocassions and each time I was told I would have to wait 6 weeks...I got tired of waiting and called up these guys and had this hood in 5 days...took it to the body shop and it was on the car a few days later..that was 4 years ago ... it has held up well over the years and it has a good finish on the underside so it looks good when the hood is up ... a lot of folks have given me compliments on it .. but I may get a different hood this winter I feel like it is time for a change ... Harwood makes a nice wide 3 inch cowl hood that I like and Summitt stocks it and is only 15 miles from the house...that may be the one I decide on.

You can do some body work on the hood and trim the cowl and change the angle of the cowl I had that done to mine by the body shop that painted it...to change wiper blades you turn on the wipers and then turn them off when they are at the top of the stroke...nothing to it.

Its the only 4 inch Ive ever seen that doesnt have flat sides....look. Most just go straight down. Also note the center line, its actually two sides, not just a little thin bump down the middle.
