Flat black TA?
my 99 TA is NBM. Im painting it black soon but i was thinking about flat/satin black. Has anyone seen one before? Ive seen a few flat black camaro's but ive never seen a flat black trans am. Ive got powder coated ZR1's and 5% tint with all the lights smoked out. I think flat black would be badass but idk with TA's body lines. Does anyone have pics of one?? All input is welcome.

i like the look but you need the proper wheels and stance to make it look right, check out this car https://ls1tech.com/forums/paint-bod...t-formula.html

it looks sick when done right, but you gotta keep the car clean as **** and stocked up on tire shine or they can look kinda, idk, dindgy? like a black car covered in road salt... Spend the money and get a quality paint and matte clear, dont just use some primer, the matte clear will protect the paint and keep it looking good for a long time, but its very pricey..

NBM owns Black IMO. Flat black makes fbodies look like total crap, it's no different than someone giving a 1983 civic a $5 spray can paint job, and on a TA would look just as good as it does on the 83 Civic. :puke: If anything at least do a well done satin black or gloss black if you're that fixed on painting it black.

I've seen a satin black lamborghini and it looked great, but that was on a showroom floor. Satin black is hard to photoshop too unfortunately... Otherwise, I'd do it.

Theres always talk about satin black cars and only a handful of people who ever do it and it always seems to turn out with a sinister looking car. But you can tell when someone invests the money to make it look good. But a paint job is a paint job, its gonna cost money to have it done and its gonna cost more to have it done right.
When I was shopping for a car I came across a satin black LT1 Z28 with chrome ZR1s on it and that car looked simply badass. I wish that the deal would have went through, and that car would be sitting here instead of my polo green z, but I'm still happy with my car.
But anyway if you want to satin your car, go do it, but do it right and make everyone else jelious. Well minus a handful of people that will usually hate on most peoples cars.
Good luck

****DISCLAIMER: THIS IS NOT MY CAR AND I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT IT.****
I know I found these pics in a thread on here somewhere but I don't remember where. I like it but it seriously needs the TA spoiler to look complete. Plus it's not an LS TA but I think the LT1 TAs still hold their own styling wise.
