Default never thought id ask for this request...

...but does anyone have pics of Trans Am's with a Le Bra? I am thinking about getting one since I got a different job and have to commute 19 miles down the highway and don't want the front end getting covered in rock chips. I would take it off on the weekends and just put it back on for the work week.

Don't get a Le Bra. Do a search for Colgan. I just picked up a Colgan bra for my Z and it is a nice piece.

DONT DO IT!!!!!!!! The paint will get more damaged from dirt and stuff getting underneath the bra and sand papering your finish. Seriously your better off without.

As far as the Le Bra, I would not use that one. My son had it and it scratched the front of his black GTP. Mainly cause it fit lose and he didn't take it off much to clean it and the car.
I have the colgan, and I love it. My commute is 13 miles one way. I have used it 24/7 in the snow months and sand, rain, sun, whatever! It is great but you should try to clean it and your car often. I have used mine since 05. It's not on now, but I'll put it back on in the summer when I'm riding alot behind other buds. The colgan bra has saved the front of my hawk many times. If I had to commute it would stay on all the time. I like the car without the bra, but their are times I put it on during long trips.

The other 02 trans am was my ex's car, which traveled the interstate daily and the front of it payed for it with chips.

i only used mine for racing. if youre going to keep it on, get a clear stick-on. i wouldnt keep it on all the time. 19 miles isnt that long anyway.

i kept one on my beretta for a long time, not including winters. but the paint was already so bad at that point, i just kept it on for looks.

where are you located Detoxx03 ? I'm a member of an installer network and I can find you an installer in your area. What ever you do DO NOT get the chepo kits on eBay. They are made from junk material that will not look good and WILL damage your paint.

You'll want to have it installed by a pro because it's pretty tricky to work with and get installed right.

Well I wash it on saturday mornings throughout the spring/summer/fall and I would like to take it off for the weekends. I'll look into the colgan one though. I also have seen on here and in person ones for Vettes, it was a red thick fabric that was stretchy that covered the whole front end anyone know what im talking about?

Well for road trips it comes in handy. I'd rather have my paint protected more than anything.

exactly. a bra is MUCH cheaper then painting your nose. if i ever took my car on a long trip again, id use the bra. before i installed my splitter, anyway. when i was driving her daily, i took her up to upstate NY for my reunion, 350 miles through mountians. i STILL have the chips and whatnot on the nose, and that was in 2002.
