Default NASTY Performance valve covers?

not sure if this is in the right spot.....

ok so im thinking of purchasing a used set of valve covers that are powdercoated and i want to remove it..is it possable? how do i go about it without messing up the finish of the metal?

and also does anybody have pics of them installed? ive searched for 2-3 days and cant find ****...the search is always messed up...

Going to have to have them sand blasted to get the powder coating off

i wouldnt sand blast but i would have them glass beaded then cleaned off. not even sure what they look like never heard of them.

this is what im talking about... i did a little research online and i guess i could use gasket remover to get the powdercoat off... i want to get it off without screwing up the finish of the metal...

Try the eastwood company, They sell a powdercoat removing product as well as other cleaners.....I've used oven cleaner spray in the past but it will definately stain metals...Definately DO NOT SAND BLAST... the sand will etch the metal surface, glass bead should do it but may take forever without some chemical help

no prob, they are actually really good on the phone for tech help, I've been in the store a few times since I live close and there is always someone answering tech calls and they actually seem knowledgeable and don't hang up with the typical "this MF guy calls again..."
