Default what color caliper paint provides the best stopping power

A dude that i work with just painted his brake calipers again he changed the color from black to red.
He said the red made a huge difference in stopping power because it disappates the heat better.
My car is black and the red will stick out like a sore thumb.
I need some help hear guys i have a credit a autozone so the price of the paint is not a issue.
or do you think i should just go with the red???

really?

i honestly don't think it would make a noticeable difference. Just choose it by what color you like the best.

Fluorescent colors dissipate the best. Any fluorescent will be best if you can find it. A lighter color with a red pigment helps too, sort of like a pink. Get a fluorescent pink. Fluorescent hot pink. That will stop the best.

Ooooooh WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!

I can't even take this thread seriously. Mine are black with silver brakets. They stop just as well as they did when they were not painted. End of story!

First, what does this guy drives? Unless he drives a vette, you shouldn't be comparing w/ that caliber with your car or his. The vette weighs like 3100 lbs w/ bigger rotors and more/bigger pistons depending on what gen we are talking about here, C5/C6; base/Z06/ZR1.

Seriously, the color of the caliper does not help your car to stop sooner or dissapate the heat better. You want to dissapate the heat better get a slotted rotors and get brake vents, want to stop better, get brembo blanks or equivalent/SS brake lines/ ATE or Motul brake fluid / better brake calipers (brembo, C6 Z06/ZR1 calipers, Baer, etc) and hawks or equivalent brake pads.

just take the calipers off completely. you don't need them, they are just weight. all the racers, all the real racers just use the hand brake
