Best Wax for Black car

I use Meguire's Gold Class on my Black Formula. Its not really a wax; its some sort of polymer. Almost everyone else on here will probably say Zaino, but I prefer to use a product that you can get at any auto store.

IF you want the best .... then go with Zaino

Actually, if you want the best shine on a black car, you'll want Pinnacle Souveran or Zymol Carbon. If you want the best durability try Blackfire or zaino. If you want BOTH, then apply some Blackfire or Zaino first, and then top it with pinnacle souveran (or Zymol Carbon). Of course none of this matters one bit unless you have polished first. For that, try menzerna intensive polish followed by menzerna final polish. There are some 3M products that work well also, but I can't remember there #s. Ask anyone who knows shine, and they'll tell you that polishing is the key. For all the zaino guys, give Sal a call, I think you'll find him in agreement (about the polishing part). If you're not going to polish, then none of the aforementioned products will do anything but make you swirls and marring/fading/whatever (if there are any) clearer and more visible. In fact, the first time I polished my car using Menzerna polishes, it was shinier than any other black car I'd "waxed", and yet it didn't have any wax or anything on it, just a freshly polished and untreated paint surface. In short, any of the aforementioned products will work, but if you want it to SHINE, then you need to polish first!
