im getting my SS hood repainted within the next 2 days, and i want some ideas on how i should do it. although it looks good, i dont want to do the normal painted hood scoop or painted manta or whatever. i wanna do it differently than the norm. heres some pics of the car now. Silver and black with burgundy metallic accents here and there. what im thinking is to do just the sides of the scoop black, and if its not what i want, have a burgundy pinstripe freehanded on there to separate the silver and black.

i thought about it, but red is the accent color and not one of the 2 main ones. idk, might be too loud?

I know you said no to the "manta" but black would look good. Black on the sides down to the point would look good also. Maybe you could post a hood picture and someone could photo-shop it. Clean car BTW

just a suggestion but maybe paint the whole hood black and put a body colored manta?
i have no idea how that would work

thanks alot dude. could you take the first one you did, and put a thin garnet (to match the calipers) pinstripe on the edge of the black where it meets the silver? thing, like 1/8th inch thin or so in real life, and maybe one with the entire scoop done in black with the garnet pinstripe?

Your car looks so damn good

Something out of the norm could be just painting the inside edges of the scoop. No idea how it would look, just an idea.
