Arrow Old sprewell stripes...

Well here are a few of the final picture's that I took with the sprewell stripes before I took them off. I did like them a lot at first, but they weren't put on perfect and had a few wrinkles (Also both sides didn't match). So I kept them for about a month then decided to take them off before all the glue sticks too much. Also just a few days ago one of my friends backed into my camaro at a low speed, so I recived a few scratches but luckly we were able to wet sand and buff them out at a bodyshop later that day... I'll probably have my front end re-painted (again, errr) in FEB or so from all the rock chips and random scratches over the last 2 years.

Why did you take those off. They looked pretty good.

I love those stripes. I want to get some silver ones painted on my black Z-28. Either way your car is sweet.

I think you should have some custom painted on the car permanently. They really do look great on that pewter car!

Pendragon, most of the 1st gen Camaros had interiors that matched the color of their stripe. I'd go with a black stripe on your car unless you go with a pimp white interior swap

Here's a link to an album showing the hockey stick stripes being painted on my SS. We tried to keep them as close to the '69 SS stripes as possible.

I think you made a good decision to take them off. Less is sometimes more as far as I'm concerned. The exterior of your car is perfect. I really don't think you need anything else, personally.

Well, in that case I guess I should do a grey stripe?

I'll do some photochops when I get home to see what I like.

JohnS, those red stripes on your black SS look great! Opposite of my '69 SS

Thanks for the feedback. My favorite Camaro is the '69 SS. Unfortunately, I don't have the time or space to maintain a '69 classic so I've done the nostalgia thing with my '99. I wanted something different from the anniversary or Berger stripes, and the hockey stick stripes were unique at the time.

I also agree... I liked the two strips that you had on there before Madice.

BUT

I think that the hockey stick strip would look bad a$$ in a "ghost" like aplication.
