Would this hood and air filter combo work?
I like the looks of the Ultra Z Hood.
I was wondering if anybody has combined this hood with K&N's (57 Series Generation II Air Intake)?
I would be concerned that water from a rainy day would get into the intake. Has anybody ran these two together with any problems?

To the OP: For that kind of money it would probably be hard to justify a minimal gain and it is probably better spent buying something else. the free ram air mod is something for you to look into if you haven't yet. Drawing cooler air in from below the car at speed (using the air that is channeled up the radiator) has worked for lots of us. You could also look into the FTRA(fast toys ram air) or SSRA(super sucker ram air) systems.

not really.....theres no seal.
Look for an austin ram air kit (I have one, it works nicely), that way you don't have to buy the hood as well. If you were expecting to make anymore power with that setup, sorry, its not gonna happen...

As MjMaro said, look at the FTRA, or a similiar product if you want a ram air system.
As for the hood, I never understood how it appealed to anyone. I think they are one of the tackiest hoods for the Camaro, right behind the "Transmaro" hood. I would look at something that actually flows with the lines of the car.
This is just my opinion though, and I hope you are happy with whatever you do to the car.
