Either get ring spacers from Speed Inc. or Fernco pipe from Home depot: look for one with an OD of ~2 5/8" and an ID of 2 1/16".

Well my question is how would I go about routing the wire? I am getting the OBD2 scanner from www.pcmforless.com and Id need to run the feed from the diagnostic port all the way through to the AC vent where I want the gauge mounted.

Use a long drill bit & drill thru the plastic inside the dash over on the cluster side. Drill a hole just big enough to run your connector or wire thru & then use some black silicone to seal it up, or just leave it be. I didnt bother siliconing mine & unless your really looking in there you never notice.

Hole drilled without vent installed

So your gauge itself doesnt unhook from the wiring at the back of the gauge with a smaller plug? Guess you'll just have to make a larger hole & silicone it up.
