Default Help: New HID issue

I've searched the forums, and there isn't much discussed on this for me to get an answer....

I just installed my HID low beams and fogs yesterday.... To get to the point, when I turn on my lights, sometimes they both come on, sometimes just one, or the other.... Similar issue with the fogs... I've gone through the wiring and I just can't believe there'd be a loose connection anywhere.....

I see most of you are able to hook em up and go and they're perfect, so shouldn't all of our cars basically be the same? Or do some of us have to run resistors or high wattage relay harness? If so can anyone link me to the kind that I'll need for both my lowbeams and fogs?

Thanks in advance...

What HIDs did you get? Some cheap ones do that. What you probably need to do is use a relay harness.

I got a kit off ebay that a lot of people have used in their t/a's....

When I purchase a relay harness, will I have to buy 4, one for each light?

I had some issues like that when I installed HIDs on my foglights, they would pull so much power and blow the fuse, I just bought wires, automotive relay that I wired and installed, it corrected the issue.

i did some researching about this (because my ddm hids did this too) and it seems to be some new hids do this but then the problem fades away after some use
everybody i talked to about said its a pretty normal thing and after some use they seem to be fine now
so give it a little time

Just because it is from ebay doesn't mean it is junk. Depends on the brand you get.

If you are having HID startup issues, then you need an upgraded wire harness. You can buy one on ebay (and other places) or make you're own like I did.
